// A Bit About Me
I first travelled out to Indonesia in 1990
I was 22 years old, from the UK and had a newly-acquired CELTA (Teaching English as a foreign language certificate).
I saw a tiny job advertisement in the newspaper for qualified native English speakers to teach in Indonesia.
I applied and immediately got an interview. It was only then I thought to look on a map to where it was.
Two weeks later, I was on a plane and about to start on an amazing adventure.
I planned to go for one year and stayed for 7!

I returned to live in Bali in early 2020
Having spent the previous 15 years in New Zealand, bringing up my children and working in education, I returned to Bali just a couple of months before the pandemic hit Indonesia.
Bali was closed down to international travellers and many local non-balinese people also left the island and returned to their home towns and villages as there was no work.
It was a very quiet time on the roads in Bali. at that time.
Sometimes It was just me and my trusted Scoopy!

Today
I still live in Bali. I live in a local house in a lovely community and it's very close to the beach, which I love.
I use my experience of living in this wonderful country to work with local people and businesses and to provide international travellers to Bali with information and itineraries to suit their needs.
